Glenmorangie Interactive Launch

Glenmorangie is a scotch whisky brand of Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy. Dr. Bill Lumsden, master distiller was going to launch their new whisky. They wanted to show the whole journey of a whisky and the story behind Glenmorangie distillery for which we created a VR experience of a different locations related to the brand for each of their 4 whiskies. This was complemented with an olfactory experience of the main ingredients of that whisky.

The VR application was developed by a colleague and I handled the electronics and Arduino programming and connectivity. Each whisky blend of Glenmorangie has different ingredients such as chocolate, honey, vanilla , lemon, coffee etc.

To give the user an extra layer or experience, we sprayed one of the main ingredient for the blend currently being viewed. This was done by activating linear actuators to spray essence from 4 holes at the top of the booth. A fan and mist spray was also activated in different scenarios to simulate sea spray and wind.
